Pasión Por Frida Pasión Por Frida was an examination of Frida Kahlo as artist, teacher, and source of inspiration for a new generation of artists. More that 500 objects were on view, including photographs, memorabilia, and one original art work by Frida, as well as works by other artists inspired by Frida's life and work. The exhibition premiered in 1991 at the Museo Estudio Diego Rivera in Mexico City, after two years of research by Museum Director Blanca Garduño Pulido, under the auspices of Mexico's National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA). For this exhibition, The Mexican Museum organized tableaux vivants of paintings by Frida, as well as films, lectures, and performances.
