The Building Design
The new facility will increase our square footage from 10,000 square feet to over 63,000 square feet, allowing for a vast increase in public exhibition space.
Spanning seven floors, our new building includes two sub-floors dedicated to a permanent collection storage area, an exhibition preparation area, two classrooms, and an education orientation area. At street level, the lobby opens into an atrium and our popular gift shop La Tienda.
The second and third floors are dedicated entirely to changing exhibitions, including works from the permanent collection. Administrative offices are located on the fourth floor, and on the top floor is a penthouse space with state of the art sound and lighting capabilities for special events, performances and corporate rentals.
