Artist Statement

As we know, reality is always subject to multiple interpretations. Based on this idea within the visual arts, there are several lines of work where disciplines such as painting and drawing propose a current and retrospective analysis of the history of modernity, which continues to question the remains, promises, and memories of philanthropic prosperity that within personal reflections, have methodologies to examine the similarities of reality that we perceive, the objectivity administered by the media and the acculturation of information that manages to symbolically modify notions of time-space.

The body of work creates a re-signification of universal history from materials, appropriate images, and/or personal archive photos in order to make a new discursive approach that produces "narrative" deformations to question the processes that developed current social and cultural contexts, which have a unique conclusion in the alteration and restructuring of collective memory today.
